With the weather taking a turn for the worse I’ve been able to do some work on the site this week and contribute a few updates:
In an effort for improved, current content I’m
trying to answer more questions each week. This week we tackle three
issues: a male with a breeding problem, bathing a duck dog and when its
time to see a vet.
After several emails I’ve received this week I also had to rehighlight the disclaimer at the top of the page.

In a continued effort to update the site at least weekly, and more so after hunting season. We have added a couple of new items in the last week.
Even though we have been busy taking care of Maggie, between icing the leg and sitting in the waiting room I did manage some site updates:
We’ve added a couple of updates to the site this week:
If you haven’t visited the main page in a while we’ve added a number of new updates this week:
We’ve posted a new Ask the Vet at the Ask the Vet Homepage. One of the most difficult decisions we make as pet owners is deciding “when it’s time”…Click Here for More.
We’ve updated the Ask the Vet question for the week, take a look at the new question:![]()

I have a 10-month old Pointer that came to me as a rescue. She is very,
very thin. We have had her checked for parasites with nothing found.
She is energetic but I am able to see her ribs and her bones seem

Our prairie grouse seasons open this weekend and I’m DYING to get out; next Sunday night I hope to post my first hunting update of the season.
The site has now been up for two weeks and we’ve given a couple of tours, now it’s time to start with a more regular update schedule. In addition, hunting seasons got underway today in South Dakota, which means the blog will turn into…well…a blog, as soon as I find time to get out in the field.
We’ve added two new ask the vet questions to the Ask the Vet page.
In addition, our local NAVHDA chapter, turned “All-Pointing Dog” club held its first AKC Hunt test this weekend and I managed to follow a few braces. View the photo gallery for pictures.
